Our firm rope halters are made out of 1/4"Polyester Double Braid rope, however it has a tighter weave and density than the soft halters we sell. It has more rigidity and does hold it's shape more so than the soft rope halters. It is not as harsh as the stiff rope some trainers prefer. The firm rope is a nice in-between compromise. Due to the density, we cannot splice the tie ends (that go over the horses poll) into one, nor is it possible to stitch the bottom chin loops together as we do with the soft rope .
